Each Sterling Silver Mother Necklace includes hand stamped silver charms that are created without the use of any machine.
I take each letter one by one and hand stamp them into the silver charm. The stamping tools that I use to create the charm are not always symmetrical. You can find a slight irregularity that is inherent with the process. This is what gives a certain authenticity and character to our hand stamped silver charm necklaces and bracelets, compared with more generic name necklaces. View our gallery below.
Once stamped, I use an acid to oxidize the letters. This gives our silver mothers necklace a naturally aged look and creates contrast for the stamped letters.
After the hand-stamping comes the polishing. I like my sterling silver jewelry to be bright and shiny, so I use extra-fine sand papers, special fabrics and polishes to brighten and protect the necklace and the sterling silver. Then I add the Swarovski crystals to the necklace or bracelet to finish the piece.
